STARTER FORMULA​

 

For one 8 fl oz cup

1 tsp Earl Grey black tea
¼ tsp orange peel
⅛ tsp culinary lavender

 

PREPARATION

  1. Measure the tea and botanicals into a roomy infuser.

  2. Add 8 fl oz water at about 200°F.

  3. Cover and steep for 3–4 minutes.

  4. Strain. Notice the aroma, floral balance, body, and finish before adjusting your next cup.

Fragrant bergamot · gentle lavender · rounded orange peel · brisk black-tea finish · amber liquor

 

MAKE IT YOUR OWN

Softer: reduce the lavender. Brighter: add a little more orange peel. Rounder: add milk or honey after steeping.
